In Scotland most types of building work will require a Building Warrant. An application must be submitted to your Local Authority for all Building Warrants. Your Local Authority will then assess the application and grant a Building Warrant providing the application demonstrates that the proposed work complies with all current legislation. Whilst this may seem daunting it is important to remember that the system of applying for and obtaining a Building Warrant is designed to protect your health, safety and welfare.
Ian was efficient and responsive to our needs. He managed all the complex processes involved, from planning to completion and explained the costs that would be incurred in a detailed, transparent, and understandable way. Having a named individual providing the link between the builder, the local authority, and ourselves as a client was invaluable in smoothing the way to a successful conclusion. We were appreciative of his quick response to any queries we had along the way. He was happy to deal with our questions and to explain all options open to us.
